Van Zyl and Hofmeyr is probably one of the oldest firms of attorneys in South Africa and were established in 1885. What makes this firm more noteworthy is that since 1885 only 3 families have been partners in the firm namely the Van Zyls, the Hofmeyrs and at present the Esterhuyses, namely Schalk and Ben.

Van Zyl and Hofmeyr practices as attorneys, conveyancers, auctioneers and estate agents and is privileged to serve on the panels of several trade banks.
